By the morning of October 16, the“Quality Case Research and Case Teaching” webinar that sponsored by North American Case Research Association(NACRA)and jointly organized by International Case Research Association (ICRA) and the School of Business Administration(SBA) in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) came to a successful conclusion. Nearly 200 teachers and students from universities across the country participated online. Professor William, Xiaojun Wei, the deputy dean of Business School of Macewan University (Canada), and Professor Haibo Hu, the dean of SBA in JUFE, co-chaired the conference.
The current chairperson of NACRA, Professor Michael Goldman of the University of San Francisco, and the chair-designate of NACRA, Professor John Varlaro of Johnson & Wales University congratulated the meeting.
In the Chinese Track of NACRA, Professor Feilong Chen, Professor Weihong Wan and Associate Professor Qun Wu from JUFE respectively gave wonderful theme reports on typical cases of emerging industries such as Internet celebrity economy and smart retail.
In the Internationalization of Chinese Enterprises under the Epidemic and Anti-Globalization session, Professor Haibo Hu from JUFE, Associate Professor Weiwei Huo from Shanghai University, Associate Professor Ou Bai from Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University, Associate Professor Qianqian Li from Shanghai University, etc., based on international perspectives, combined with their respective developed cases, discussed the innovative practice in the context of Chinese enterprises' transnational operation.
During the seminar, everyone spoke enthusiastically and the atmosphere was warm. Questions such as how to use second-hand data in a standardized manner in teaching cases and how to focus on knowledge points in the instructions were discussed. In conclusion, Professor Xiaojun Wei expressed his hope that all case researchers could discover new perspectives and problems on the road of case work and obtain valuable academic results.
Through the wonderful sharing of case scholars, this webinar has built a borderless online learning and communication platform for teachers and students,, and also provides a valuable opportunity for Chinese scholars to use cases to speak Chinese on the international stage and tell Chinese stories well.
